The PH Diet Truth

Low Alkaline Diet

Fact Or Fiction PH Diets the Truth

PH Values Of Food And Food Stuff

We have provided the approximate value of PH of apples, the values are approximate and may differ slightly due to soil conditions ripeness ect.

Fact Or Fiction?

Alkaline diets may prevent cancer?

Answer= False.

Little or no evidence from the scientific community exists that alkaline diets have any meaningful effect on cancer cells.

This Guide is designed to help give you a better insight into what you are consuming and to help you make a more informed choice.

The Ph of food has little if any effect on the Ph of our bodies enzymes, any literature that clams it cures cancer by some reducing our bodies natural Ph is pure fabrication.

There is no scientific evidence to back up clams made by profiteers often selling miracle cures. Please be very sceptical of any publication that clam it can cure any disease without medical and scientific scrutiny, if it sounds too good to be true it often is.

Example Of The Effect Of PH In Our Body

PH in our body may vary considerably from one area to another with the highest acidity in the stomach (PH of 1.35 to 3.5) containing hydrochloric acid strong enough to dissolve metal in order to aid in digestion and protect against opportunistic microbial organisms such as viruses and bacteria.

The skin is quite acidic (PH 4–6.5) to provide an acid mantle as a protective barrier to the environment against microbial overgrowth. There is a gradient from the outer horny layer (pH 4) to the basal layer (pH 6.9). This is also seen intimate areas such as in the vagina where a PH of less than 4.7 protects against microbial overgrowth.

The urine may have a variable pH from acid to alkaline depending on the need for balancing the internal environment.

Tooth Health

Ph does have an effect on tooth enamel as acid based foods and beverages including fruits can cause damage to teeth causing tooth erosion.

Dental erosion is the irreversible loss of tooth structure due to chemical dissolution by acids without the involvement of microorganisms.

To help mitigate some of the effects of acid based foods and beverages.

Drink water after your consume them or rinse and spit out water.

Chew gum that contains xylitol this natural based sweetener made from birch tree extract helps kill some of the bad bacteria that produce acid conditions that attack your teeth.

The action of chewing gum also creates additional saliva which helps the mouth to get back to an optimal state.

Don’t brush your teeth for at least 20 min after food.

This may seem illogical,

“surely we would want to scrub always the sugar and acid as soon as possible”.

However conventional wisdom does not apply in this instance.

Your teeth have just undergone an acid attack and require somewhere between 20 -60 for remineralisation to occur.

The process of remineralisation helps the teeth to become stronger and what give the enamel its strength, brushing too soon after food or beverage can do more harm than good.

The PH scale Starts from 1 to 14, with a PH of 1 being the most acidic, and 14 being the most alkaline.

A PH of 7 is neutral – The PH of pure water is very close to 7.0 At a PH of 5.5 the teeth begin to demineralise, putting them at risk for cavities.

A healthy mouth is in a neutral pH range.
